Makeup Revolution’s 2nd Birthday

Makeup Revolution’s 2nd Birthday

So, a few weeks ago I was lucky enough to help celebrate Makeup Revolution’s 2nd Birthday in style at Café de Paris, London.

I also got to meet up with my friend, Annie (www.annabeebeauty.com) so, together, we swooned over new products, sampled canapés and generally schmoozed the night away. Annie and I were also lucky enough to be one of the selected few to receive a goodie bag at the end of the evening, the contents of which included a selection of TAM Beauty Products and products widely available in Superdrug.

The product that created the most stir at the event was the beautiful Fortune Favours the Brave Palette, which was made in collaboration with Jane Cunningham, better known as the British Beauty Blog. The palette has since been released and can be found on Makeup Revolution’s website here.

The Director of the Company, Adam Minto, gave a wonderfully impassioned speech in which he thanked his Team, Superdrug and the Beauty Bloggers. He also announced the Makeup Revolution App, which is available to download for both iOS and Android Systems. We were encouraged to download it on the night, which many of us did.

After the “afternoon tea” drop in session, the night progressed into a cocktail reception which saw Celebrity DJ, Scott Mills, take to the turntables to blow the party atmosphere through the roof.

The night was amazing, as was to be expected, but nothing could have prepared me and, indeed, the rest of the room for the MASSIVE announcement regarding the #IAMFREEDOM Makeup Competition.

This is the biggest competition that has ever been held in the Makeup Industry. It’s open globally, there are a few heats which will see 30 entrants (chosen initially by TAM Beauty) whittled down to just 5 finalists who will compete live in London, in front of a room full of people including a panel of Celebrity Guest Judges. 4 runners up will receive £1,000 and an amazing Freedom London Makeup Kit, but the winner…oh my God, the winner! The Winner of #IAMFREEDOM will receive £10,000 which, on the night, was doubled to a cool £20,000! A year supply of Freedom London products and a 1-year contract with the Company.

I will be entering the Competition. I’m not even daring to think past submitting my entry video at this point as it is such a huge competition and, in all honesty, the chance of making it into the first 30 entrants is slim, but you really do have to be in it to win it, so I will be filming my “Signature Look” within the next week.

All details regarding the Competition can be found over on the #IAMFREEDOM website.
